Psychiatrists Investigated for Under Reporting Drug Money
A Congressional inquiry, led by Senator Charles E. Grassley, disclosed the following:
Dr. Charles B. Nemeroff (Emory University) earned more than $2.8 million in drug company fees but neglected to report $1.2 million to the university.
Dr. Melissa P. DelBello (University of Cincinnati) said she earned about $100,000 from drug makers, but one company paid her $238,000.
Dr. Joseph Biederman and Dr. Timothy E. Wilens claimed to have earned hundreds of thousands when both earned at least $1.6 million.
